Antique French Victorian Iron Wire Cradle with Battenburg Lace Canopy
Item Details
An antique French Victorian iron wire cradle with Battenburg lace canopy and bedding cover. The cradle has a latticed wire cradle basket, with iron side supports with brass finials to the top and curved legs. The sides are supported by a crossed base stretcher with iron medallion center. A removable wire canopy pole is to one end. From the canopy a lovely antique Battenburg lace textile is draped, tied with pale blue satin ribbons to the basket’s sides. A Battenburg lace textile also covers the bedding.
