Collotype on Masonite After Piero della Francesca "The Duchess of Urbino"

A collotype on masonite titled The Duchess of Urbino after Piero della Francesca (1415/20-1492). This Renaissance portrait depicts a profile view of the Duchess of Urbino, Battista Sforza, clad in a fine gown with pearls and jewels with an elaborate hairstyle with the city of Urbino in the background. The original piece was created in 1465 as a diptych with the matching portrait of her husband, the Duke of Urbino, Frederico da Montefeltro. The originals are currently housed in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy. It is presented without glass in an ornate gold toned frame with a loop to the verso for hanging.
