Item Details
A large hand-knotted Peshawar-style area rug, likely woven in Pakistan. It features a lattice pattern of large squared medallions over the field, alternating with smaller quatrefoil elements, in a palette of buff, ivory and steel grey, with an allover pattern of foliate forms throughout. The primary border is a pattern of elongated foliate elements in the field colors on an abrashed field. It is bound by a dark grey band, with overcast edges and dense, medium length cotton warp fringe. Unlabeled.
