A 1964 watercolor and pastel illustration on paper by artist Salima Hedayet. The piece depicts two figures working as they build a brick wall; one mason is shown working under the shade of a black umbrella. The work is signed and dated in graphite to the lower right. It is double matted in cream and dark coral and presented under glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- slight toning to paper and matting; minor edge wear and scratching to frame; staining throughout frame’s backing paper.
