A hand-colored engraving of La Soubrette Confidente, by artist Niclas Lafrensen. This print on paper depicts three aristocratic women clustered together in a well-furnished room. One leans to the other who is seated, clutching at a handful of letters.The composition is contained by a beaded border, with a printed title, central crest and what appears to be a French inscription. The print is presented between glass and paperboard, with a metal loop to the verso for hanging.

- tearing to taped sides; foxing marks to underside of glass with some to print; toning to print.
