Hmong Reverse Applique Textile

A Hmong reverse applique and embroidery textile. It features a complex geometric design with red and black triangle toothed borders and a radiating eight-pointed star in the center. It is mounted floating between two panes of non-glare glass in a black with gilt trim wood frame fitted with a sawtooth hanger. This type of needlework is a traditional art form of the Hmong people of Northern Cambodia and Viet Nam.
