An early 20th century oil painting on canvas. The piece depicts an overcast ocean landscape set against a rocky shore lined with evergreens, with small sailboats faintly visible in the distance. The work is signed in black paint to the lower right; however, no clear artist attribution could be made. It is presented without glass in a gold tone wooden frame with ornate foliate gesso embellishments to the edges, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

- craquelure and wear throughout painting; stretcher marks to edges; staining and discoloration throughout; wear, cracks, chips, scratching and scuffing to frame; toning, wear and craquelure patterns visible to canvas verso; no backing paper present.
