A pair of antique French-language books on religious topics, both featuring color illustrations. This collection includes a fifth edition of Jeanne d’Arc by H. Wallon, published by the Librairie de Firmin-Didot et Cie. of Paris in 1892, and a sixth edition of Jésus-Christ by Louis Veuillot, with a study of Christian art by E. Cartier. Both books are bound in red pressed cloth on boards with gilt cover decoration and gilt page edges, and both include color and black-and-white illustrations; Jésus-Christ notes on the title page that it contains 180 engravings by Huyot and sixteen chromolithographs.
