An original 1947 watercolor painting on watercolor paper listed Norwegian artist Johannes Lidsheim (1899 – 1977). The painting depicts a rural scene featuring stout homes nestled in a foothill valley. Rolling green hills and tall shrubby trees surrounded the houses, all painted in loose strokes of color that bleed into one another. The painting is signed and dated to the lower left. It is matted in white with several thin French lines and is presented without framing. It is mounted to white foam core and currently wrapped in acetate for safekeeping.

Condition

- paper and matting are very discolored. Edge of matting is extra discolored, and has small scuffs and marks across. Ripping across acetate wrapping.

- measured with foam core backing. Visible image area measures 10.75" W x 7.75" H.
