An original signed graphite figure study on paper by 20th century American artist Sascha Brastoff (New York/Ohio, 1918 – 1993). The drawing depicts a nude figure drawn in minimal, gestural linework. The figure holds one arm behind their head. The drawing is signed and dated in ink to the lower margin. It is presented in navy matting with a visible area cut to the curving shape of the figure. A black French Line is hand-drawn at the image’s edges. The drawing is presented without framing and is currently wrapped in acetate for safekeeping. Condition
- to poor. Paper is quite yellowed and has faint creasing across. Significant water damage and discoloration to matting, which has likely affected drawing within.
