A handwoven Turkish Kilim wool area rug. This rug features a chocolate brown striated field with two large central Kerman Rose medallions with scroll and floral motifs to the spandrels along with bands around the field, with lateral borders in stylized medahil pattern, and a braided pattern bordering the ends. Colors shown against the brown field are crimson, burgundy, mustard, bold blues, rose, cream, tan, and gray. The rug is finished with a natural warp ivory knotted short fringe. Unmarked.
