An early offset lithograph after 1902 ‘The Judge’ Cover of Andrew Carnegie. This color lithograph on paper depicts a political cartoon depicting Andrew Carnegie in a kilt next to a chalk board. ‘Judge’ was an American satire magazine which ran from 1881 to 1947. Marked on the lower left margin ’Copyright 1902 by Judge Company of New York. Signed in plate in the lower right side of the picture plane. This artwork was originally drawn by well known political cartoonist Victor Gillam. This piece is presented unframed, but under a green mat wrapped in cellophane.

Condition

- image in fair condition; paper has toning throughout the image area; puncture hole in the image on the lower left hand side by his foot; under green matte that has some kinks along the outside edges.
