Hawaiian Hand-Painted Silk Scarves Including a Scarf with Freshwater Pearls
Item Details
A collection of three hand painted silk scarves from Hawaii. All three are made using a batik wax-resist to get crisp outlines between each color and are decorated with floral motifs featuring plants native to the islands such as bird of paradise and plumeria flowers. One scarf is adorned with a beaded fringe that features freshwater pearls. Two of the three have a maker’s mark in one corner.
