A pair of watercolors, by artists signing the paintings Edward J. Simonek and ‘Poqui,’ and a chromolithograph titled Bal en Plein Air by Dutch-born artist Kees van Dongen (1877-1968). The watercolors each depict a landscape, the Simonek a painterly rendering of cotton being harvested by machine, and the work signed ‘Poqui’ a carefully-painted courtyard. Bal en Plein Air depicts a group of abstracted figures dancing together against a ground, busy with brush-like marks. All three pieces are signed, the print in plate, and are presented unframed.
