Large Hand Thrown Stoneware Raku Fired Vessel

Item Details

A hand thrown stoneware raku fired vase. It has a small, knopped opening in white crackled alternating with an iridescent copper raku glaze, with the white crackle repeated at the wide shoulder. The tapered body of the vessel repeated the deeply iridescent copper glaze in aubergine, blues and greens, with carbon trapping at the base from the firing environment. It is signed ‘LS’ by the artist and dated 2004 to the underside.
