An antique, hand-knotted Northwest Persian area rug. This wool rug features a symmetrical, lozenge-shaped field populated with geometric designs in shades of sand, cream, sage and black. The field is bounded by crenelated spandrels and surrounded by a compound geometric border with close-cropped white cotton fringe at the far ends. The rug is unmarked.
