Chippendale Style Secretary Bookcase

Item Details

A Chippendale style secretary bookcase. The wooden, mahogany-finished case features a broken-arch pediment centered by a flame-and-urn finial above a pair of astragal-glazed doors. The doors open to two shelves and directly below is a slant-front desk. The writing surface folds down to reveal a fitted interior with vertical dividers, drawers, and a prospect door. The base has four serpentine-front, long drawers with brass tone, batwing pulls and escutcheons. The secretary rises on short, cabriole legs ending in ball-and-claw feet. A key is included.
