A first edition 1926 hardcover of The Sublime Boy: the Poems of Walter DeCasseres, edited and with an introduction by his brother Benjamin DeCasseres, and published by Seven Arts Publishing Co. of New York. Walter DeCasseres was a young poet in Philadelphia who committed suicide by jumping into the Delaware River in February of 1900 at the age of 18. His poetry, found on scraps of paper among his effects by his brother Benjamin, are published here for the first time. The volume is bound in a batik hardcover with black scrollwork designs on tan.

- light cover wear and paper yellowing consistent with age. Dedication from a previous owner in pen to the front flyleaf, some pencil underlining and marks to the interior.
