A pair of late 19th century wood engravings on newspaper spreads from the December 3rd and October 22nd, 1881 issues of The Queen, The Lady’s Newspaper. These black and white prints are style sheets depicting ‘Artistic designs for needle, brush, and chisel’ including images of statues and pottery, and ‘Suggestions for art-needlework, linen embroidery, tapestry painting, and wood-carving’ featuring floriate designs. Each illustration includes the source in type beneath the image, and page numbers are included in the margins. These prints are presented unframed with protective plastic sleeves and cardboard backings. Certificates of authenticity are adhered to the verso of both backings sheets.

- toning to both prints; rip at lower right of one paper; vertical crease down center of both papers.
