A lithograph after a woodblock print of Jacobs Hall. This sepia tone print depicts the aforementioned Kentucky School for the Deaf from a street view, as a horse-drawn carriage runs past a multitude of picketed fences that line the property. To the top left corner of the composition is an in-plate placard labeling the school, which is complemented to the lower margins with a historic blurb about its formation. The print is presented under glass under an olive green mat in a stained wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- glass could benefit from cleaning; several minor scratches to frame; staining throughout paper backing.
