A reproduction pastel drawing on paper after a painting by Jean Francois Millet, titled The Gleaners (circa 1857). This image of rural life depicts three peasant laborers harvesting grain. Small homes and rolling hills are featured in the background. This piece is unsigned and presented behind glass in a gold tone wood and gesso frame with a hanging wire to the verso. Affixed to the lower right corner is a sticker from Quinn’s Auction Galleries.

Condition

- drawing shifted slightly in frame to top left edge; toning present; wear throughout frame’s finish; chips and peeling to gesso finish; surface stains to frame; to the verso backing previously held in place with tape.
