An original gouache painting on paper Hunting Horse by Native American artist Ray Darby. This painting depicts a brown horse with white spots throwing its head back. The horse is standing on a stylized ground comprised of orange and brown undulating lines with plants growing on either side of the horse. This minimalist image is effective in its simplicity of shape and color. The painting is titled and dated (65) to the lower right. This piece is presented mounted on a brown mat, behind glass, and in a dark stained carved wood frame with a white liner. The verso of this painting is wired to hang.
