Antique Marshall Field & Co. Bronze Inkwell with Insert
Item Details
An early 20th century Marshall Field and Company gilt bronze ink well with a stylized, entwined Viking dragon design. It offers a hinged lid with glass inkwell inside marked: ‘Sengbusch Self-Closing Inkstand Co. Milwaukee Wis.’. The underside of the bronze is engraved, “Made by Marshall Field & Co. 2 29 J”.

Condition
- Wear to finish, mainly to base and interior, less on exterior of lid (all consistent with age and use)
- Significant chipping to base of interior glass inkwell
