Curtis Jeré Mixed Metal Wall Sculpture of Sailboat on Ocean Waves

A circa 1990s mixed metal wall sculpture by listed California Artisan House design team Curtis Jeré (or C. Jeré), made up of Curtis “Kurt” Freiler (1910 – 2013) and Jerry Fels (1917 – 2007). The piece depicts a sailboat traversing ocean waves, featuring two silver tone sails, red flag, flying seagulls and a red buoy set over waves of bent copper tone rods. It includes a rounded hook to the verso for hanging.

Condition

- to Fair; some bending to metal rods and strips; chipping to painted finish; scattered rust and tarnish present throughout; tip of flag is broken to top.
