A hand-knotted vintage Persian Qashqai Yalameh wool area rug. The rug features two central medallions in red, gray and black with a black hook-shaped edge on a red ground. This is framed with a compound border with a tan primary band with geometric shapes flanked by red and green striped bands. The rug is finished with a tan warp fringe. The rug has a thick natural undyed wool warp fringe and an equally heavy red colored weft. It has overcast edges and is unlabeled.
