Lee Reynolds Original Large Mixed Media Painting
Item Details
An original acrylic painting on canvas with areas of applied tissue paper textured surface by well-listed American artist Lee (Reynolds) Burr (Califfornia, 1936 -). The painting depicts a busy pattern of Southwestern-style patterns and symbols painted in neutral shades of brown, white, and black with metallic gold tone accents. The painting is signed to hte lower right in black and is presented in a thin black metal frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso. Lee Burr was quoted as saying, “Lee Reynolds was simply a trade name. It was attached to numerous artworks and designs at Vanguard Studios. Vanguard Studios was the largest distributor of decorative art in the world at the time. I guided product development. I was personally responsible for many designs, prototypes, and compositions; however, no “LEE REYNOLDS” signed paintings were actually done by my hand.’
