A hand-knotted vintage Persian Kurdish Bijar area rug. The cotton and wool rug has a crimson field with geometric pattern and features a center pendant medallion in indigo. The rug is woven in palette of crimson, indigo, ivory, and brown with orange accents. It has a contrasting ivory geometric border and a compound border in abstract florals in the field colors. The rug is unmarked, with overcast edges and natural cotton warp fringe. Tagged to reverse, ‘Made in Iran’.
