Joseph Osterberger 1928 Signed Etching Landscape
Item Details
A signed 1928 drypoint etching on paper by an artist named Joseph Osterberger. The print depicts a forest grove illustrated in busy, textured linework. A stream cuts through a rocky river bed, and tall trees with thin branches and bushy leaves rise high above the water. The print is signed and dated in-plate to the lower right, and the piece is signed and dated by hand in graphite to the lower right. The print is presented behind glass in a thin wooden frame with black painted finish and a hanging wire attached to the verso.
Condition
- paper is quite yellowed with age. Light warping across paper. Significant scratching and chipping to frame.
