A Baluch square area rug. This wool, goat hair, and camel hair tribal rug is hand-knotted, woven, and embroidered, resulting in a textured surface with added visual depth. It features a diamond-lattice pattern in a crimson field. The palette is abrashed in crimson, gray, and camel. Framing the field are multiple box borders, including bird’s head patterns. Selvedges are double overcast, the rug finishing at top and bottom with brown warp fringe made of goat and camel hair. It is unlabeled.
