Original Oil on Board Autumnal Landscape
Item Details
An original oil painting on compressed paperboard by an anonymous artist. The painting depicts a wide horizontal landscape painted in a loose, naivete style with black linework and flat fields of color. Tall trees in shades of brown, green, yellow, and orange fill the scene with dense texture. The painting is unsigned. It is presented in a tiered wooden frame with gold tone finish and a hanging wire attached to the verso. Handwritten pricing and framing notes are written to the verso in graphite.
Condition
- large crease to left margin of paperboard. Board is bulging convexly to center. Light wear across frame.
