A early vintage 1960’s Pauline Trigere mohair swing coat in an orange and brown chevron stripe pattern. The iconic coat is styled with a funnel neck and pagoda sleeves, open at the front with a wide belt and oversized matched pattern patch pockets having open slots as well. The interior mohair is solid brown and a label inside reads ‘Sincerely Gidding Jenny’.

Pauline Trigere (Paris 1908 – New York 2002) was a fashion designer renowned for her innovative yet classic clothing that employed couture structure and tailoring. Style icons Iris Apfel, Evelyn Lauder, Lena Horne and Bette Davis wore Pauline Trigere clothing and she designed the costumes worn by Patrician Neal in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Condition

The coat shows little to no sign of wear. No odor, holes or fading. The belt is included.
