An original miniature oil painting on canvas board of a seascape by artist L. Hoon. This delightful tiny painting depicts a crashing wave below a gull in flight. Sunlight from above highlights the cresting distant waves and reflect in the wet sand in the foreground. The artist has used impasto to great effect in the sea foam, giving the piece an added sense of depth. The painting is signed to the lower left and presented in a dark stained wood frame.
Condition
- the frame has several scratches and dents and has started to separate in two corners.
