A set of two vintage oil paintings on canvas. Featured is a mid-century Impressionist-inspired Parisian street scene by listed American artist Caroline Burnett (19th/20th centuries). The piece depicts figures and cars moving against a backdrop of stately architecture and overcast skies, signed ‘Burnett’ in black paint to the lower right. Also featured is a maritime landscape by listed French artist Max Savy (1918 – 2010). The piece depicts two boats moored in still waters against a distant lighthouse, signed in cream paint to the lower right. Both paintings are presented without glass in beveled wooden frames with linen liners to the front and hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- craquelure to center of boat painting; minor wear to both frames; no backing paper present.
