Charles Fracé Signed Offset Lithograph "Morris the Cat" with Original Paw Print
Item Details
In Plate, By Hand
A signed offset lithograph on paper after an original colored pencil drawing by 20th century American wildlife artist Charles Fracé (1926 – 2005), titled Morris the Cat. The print depicts the famed cat who performed in advertisements and even movies in the second half of the 20th century. He sits stoically gazing towards the viewer. The print’s title is printed to the lower center margin, and the print is signed both in-plate and by hand to the lower right. An original stamped paw print, assumably from Morris himself, is visible to the lower right. The print is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with cast surface embellishments, gold tone finish, white linen lining, and a hanging wire. An extensive biography of Morris is attached to the verso.
