An original 2017 oil painting on canvas by contemporary Mexican-American painter Jose Trujillo (born 1982), titled Lavender Hillside. The painting is a beautiful example of the bright, painterly landscapes the artist is best-known for. It depicts a hillside covered in foliage painted in striking shades of blue, teal, purple, red, peach, and yellow. Tall, thin trees rise along the right margin, and voluminous clouds fill the sky. The painting is signed to the lower left in black paint and is signed, titled, and dated to the verso. A certificate of authenticity from the artist is included.
