Item Details

A mid-century watercolor and gouache painting on paper by Nell. The piece depicts a kitten investigating a sewing basket overflowing with scraps and balls of yarn. The piece is rendered in hues of red, blue, brown and black against a tan background. It is signed in black paint to the lower right and presented under glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging twine to the verso.

Condition

- toning to paper; surface wear, scratching and scuffing to frame; frame’s backing paper is held on with clear tape.
