1931 Yankees Signed Baseball Including Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig

A Spalding baseball that features the signatures of players from the 1931 roster of the New York Yankees baseball team, highlighted by renowned baseball players Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. In addition, the ball also has signatures from Baseball Hall of Famers, Bill Dickey, Joe Sewell, Tony Lazzeri, Earle Combs and Red Ruffing. During this season, Lou Gehrig set an American League record, by driving in 184 runs and Babe Ruth batted .373, while slugging 46 home runs. The baseball has multicolor stitching (the manufacturing stamping on the panel is not visible, the Spalding stamp is visible). The baseball is held in a clear hard plastic casing and includes a notarized and watermarked Letter of Authenticity from JSA with the serial number “X91780”.

- moderate to heavy fading and surface wear to the baseball and signatures consistent with decades of age and exposure; the baseball is protected from further wear by being held in a hard plastic casing.
