A late Victorian nickel plated silver writing tool set with traveling glass inkwell to the lid. The unit is comprised of a small glass vial for ink with a cover and safety bar to top, the safety bar is also a stand to keep the well from falling over. To the interior is a steel nibbed dip pen, a pen knife (ink eraser/scraper) and pencil. Maked, ‘No. 311 C. Brandauer & Co. Birmingham to nip. Marked D. R. G. M. no 11747’ to lid.
