An etching of University of Kentucky’s Memorial Hall, titled Lecture Hour, by listed Ohio-born artist William Kent Hagerman (1893-1978). This carefully-rendered piece depicts the building between classes, a large group of students visible clustered around the pillars on the hall’s facade. This piece includes a label to its verso noting the historical relevance of the building, from school president Merle E. Robertson, as well as a message to the lower right of the mat reading ‘To Dr. Donovan, from Merle E. Roberson.’ The print is signed ‘KH’ in plate to its lower left, and is titled and signed in pencil to its lower margin. It is matted under glass in a stained wooden frame with a wire for hanging.

- light wear to frame, especially corners; toning to print and mat; dust and smudging to glass; wear throughout verso.
