A 1930 lithograph poster by Maurice Dufrene titled Rayon Des Soieries. The Art Deco poster for a French comic opera features a stylized female figure holding long drapery over her outstretched arm. The title of the operetta (translated as ‘The Silk Department’) is printed on the drapery. The artist’s name is printed to the lower right and the printer’s name and date to the lower left: ‘Imp. Chaix Paris 5.30’ to the lower left. The poster is mounted under glass in a white wooden frame that is wired for hanging. Information about the poster and the operetta printed on gallery letterhead is attached to the verso.
