A Persian Bijar carpet runner. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of teal, mauve, and ivory. It features a densely patterned, classic Bijar herati field incorporating fan-like palmettes, diamonds, florets, leaves, and stylized vinework over a teal field. The field is framed by compound borders, including a turtle main border and laleh abbasi minor borders. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short kilim skirts and long cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
