Vintage Wooden Toy Figurines and Nativity Set
Item Details
A collection of vintage wooden toy figurines and a Nativity set. This lot includes eight individual wood pieces and a Nativity set. The folk art style pieces, some from Peru and France, are painted with vibrant colors. A toreador; a man playing guitar and singing; a woman dancing in a traditional Spanish dress, playing castanets; a soldier; a young man with a hat; and a figure on a white horse do not have artist marks. The old man in traditional clothing with a brown cape is marked to the base ‘Fouque – Made in France’. The shepherd carrying a lamb is marked to the base ‘J. Flore’. The house’s door open to reveal a Nativity group of seven painted pieces. It is marked to the back ‘Peru – Tesoros’.
