Handmade "Crazy" Quilt Top

A handmade Crazy quilt top. This throw style quilt shows a side-by-side block setting, made from hand-pieced patchwork. The vintage silk, velvet, and wool patchwork and blocks are embroidered along each seam with vibrant decorative stitching and on the blocks in classic Crazy quilt style. This piece came from a collection and was with them for several decades.

Condition

- some fading and wear to fabric; some fraying along edges; some spot staining, unfinished, this piece has no backing.
