A vintage lithograph on paper of a mother feeding her baby, after listed Danish artist Aage Sikker-Hansen (1897 -1955). This black and white piece depicts a woman cradling her child as she breastfeeds, rendered in soft tones contrasting with bold marks in the woman’s hair and defining the curve of her neck. The work is signed in plate to the lower left, dated ’37, and presented unmatted under glass. The round composition of the subject is complemented by a gold tone, ovular wood frame that is wired to hang.

Condition

- faint crease mark to upper center of paper; wear to frame finish and cracks to some areas of wood.
