Vintage Stoneware Steins
Item Details
A pair of vintage stoneware steins. The collection includes a tall stein with cream tone ground featuring rope style borders to the top and bottom and handle. It features vining and foliate designs in relief throughout the body with a green ground and oval medallions featuring figural, fleur-de-lis, arabesque and other detailing in relief with a brown ground. The piece is emboss marked Germany 89 to the underside. The other stein features a tan ground with a brick tone wash glaze noted throughout. The piece features foliate detaling in relief with a large stag and clock face themed medallion in relief to the front. The underside of the piece is emboss marked 496 and with an H in a circle.
Condition
- crazing noted throughout both steins
- chips to the handle of the larger stein, and there is a hole drilled in the handle, this piece may be missing a lid
- cracks and chips in the smaller stein
