Garret Boone Original 1970 Acrylic Painting on Canvas "Interstate Landscape"
Item Details
A very large original 1970 acrylic painting on canvas by 20th century American artist Garret Boone, titled Interstate Landscape. The painting depicts a stylized view of an abstracted landscape painted in clean, geometric fields of green, red, blue, and mustard paint. The painting is signed, titled, and dated to the verso. It is presented in a wooden shadowbox-style frame with white painted finish and a hanging wire attached to the verso. Boone, originally from Richmond, Indiana, has works permanently housed in the Richmond Art Museum and Asheville Art Museum.
Condition
- significant dust to surface of painting. A few very small specks of accretion to lower edge of painting. Scratching across frame, though it mostly seems stylistically intentional.
