Sterling Silver and Silver Tone Gemstone Jewelry Featuring Animal Fetishes

A group of Southwestern style sterling silver carnelian agate earrings, a turquoise and silver tone squirrel fetish necklace, and a gemstone bear fetish. The earrings feature carnelian agate in high polish, square frames, finished with clutch back posts. They are stamped, ‘ND 925’ on verso. The necklace features a carved turquoise squirrel fetish adorning a strand of turquoise chunk beads and silver tone beads, finishing in a spring ring clasp. This piece does not bear any hallmarks. The bear fetish features a carved mother of pearl body, an inlaid lifeline arrow of turquoise and coral, and carved feather and sunburst accents with inlaid coral and turquoise detail. This Zuni style bear is not fitted with a bail as use for jewelry, but is spiritual, medicinal, good luck, and ceremonial use. This piece is not hallmarked. The total weight of the sterling silver earrings, inclusive of all materials, is 0.365 ozt.
