Federal Style Mahogany Mantle

Item Details

A Federal style mahogany mantle. The ornate mantle has a cornice style top with pilasters framing the fireplace opening. The classical style columns have vertical fluting with scrolled detailing at the tops. Along the top of the fireplace opening the mantle has a series of relief carvings including rosettes, and swags framing a central vase carving. The fireplace opening is raised from floor level and has fluting along the outside edges.
