A 1947 watercolor painting on paper by Southern American artist Olleen Williams. The piece depicts a mid-century autumn landscape scene with small homes and trees set against yellow skies and distant factories with tall smoking chimneys. The work is signed and dated in brown paint to the lower right. It is double-matted in cream and off-white and presented under glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso. The frame’s backing paper includes a vintage Spivy-Johnson framer’s sticker from Birmingham, Alabama.
