Item Details
An early 20th century Khmer, Cambodian .900 silver betel box in melon form. The pumpkin box enjoys finely detailed foliate repousse to six of the melon lobes with a curly stem and coiled leaves. The box has a well fitted lid and would have used to store the hallucinogenic nut or other medicinal necessities. It is hallmarked T90% to the bottom with a maker mark. Please note two smaller pumpkin form betel boxes are offered as items 17DCC165-675 and 676. The total weight is 11.135 ozt.
